Literally at the beginning of December I had a bright idea of making these notepads as gifts for friends and family...especially Connor's teachers at the daycare centre.

Next time, I really need to think of these things in October or early November. I've been delaying in posting this picture because I didn't want the recipients to see them before I gave it to them.

Calendar Class - outcome

I had my Calendar class on Monday with Jessica and I'm just amazed at how different the calendars look when someone else makes them. It's great because I can then get some ideas from someone else.

This is Jessica's final product.

I made another calendar for a friend back home in Toronto. Hopefully, she's not reading this so she will be surprised.

I never thought of putting these colours together and I have to thank the Colour Coach for that. I absolutely love how all of the colour combinations are already done for me. I tweaked it a bit but at least it gives me a start.

Baby Card

On October 28th, we had a surprise baby shower for one of our colleagues at the office. I was so organized with everything else except for her card. I had a mental block so this is what I came up with on the morning of the party before I had to leave for work.

Calendar

I attended a Stampin' Up meeting a couple of months ago and was hooked on this calendar. My apologies I can't find the original person's blog post to give them credit.

Anyway, this calendar is usable for each month. The title for the month is the only thing that has to be created and changed each month. The dates are marked on the glass with an eraseable marker.

My husband absolutely loves this calendar. It keeps our days and weeks organized.

Swapping Cards

On Thursday night, October 29th, I attended my upline's, West Coast Creators, meeting and it was awesome. I learned all about the My Digital Studio and talked about the business. It's always good fun to chat with this group because everyone has so many ideas and the best part is the Swapping of Cards. Everyone has a different style of making cards and I'm always at awe at everyone else's creations.

This is the card that I came up with. I used the ghosting technique. I'm in love with that technique. I'll have to figure out who's birthday is coming up next so I can make another one with this style.

Baptism card

When I went to Toronto in September I had to make sure I made a Baptism card as well as the other cards that I had to make.

Yet again...this was a last minute card.

Anyone have any tips on becoming organized?

September - Baby Cards/Baby Shower

In September, I hosted a baby shower for a dear friend of mine who is/was due in October.

I don't know why I do it to myself but I absolutely wait until the last minute to make a card and this is what I came up with. I really do need to make my cards in advance. If only I could be as organized as my other SU! friends.

I made the banner the morning of the party. Thank goodness the party didn't start until 1 o'clock.

Happy Birthday Card

In mid-September, I left to go to Toronto for my niece's wedding. It was a joyous occasion and I felt old because she had chosen myself and my husband, Brian, to be the godparents. Still, it was beautiful and well-organized. A snippet of the video can be seen here. The videographers that she had hired were absolutely amazing. This video was taken and edited the day of the wedding and shown during the reception. They are top notch.

Before I left I had to create a few cards. One of them was the wedding card that I had posted previously and this one of the other cards. I made this card for Brian's son who turned 11 on August 6th. He's definitely one of our superstars.

Scrappin' and Gabbin' Night - Friday, October 2, 2009

Ahhhh....it's been a long time since I've seen my friend Jessica and it was so good to see her that night.

I was so proud of myself, I actually got 2 pages done and this is the result. When I took the picture I just realized that I put '09 instead of '08. I'll have to change that tonight.

Jessica completed 2 cards and 2 pages as well. We're more productive when we're together because we bounce ideas off of each other.

Wedding card

I'm frantically making all of the cards that I have to use when I go back to Toronto and I finally got around to creating the wedding card for my niece. I can't believe how old I am since I'm saying that my niece is getting married next week. Next thing you know, she'll be telling me that she's pregnant.

Notepads

I'm at it again....trying to use up all of my non-Stampin' Up! products. I made a bunch of notepads for a party. I will be putting a magnet at the back so people can put it on their fridge to write notes or for grocery lists.

The top portion is perforated as well for easy tearing. It's hidden by the patterned paper.

Flip Album

These days I'm trying to use up all of my non-Stampin' Up! products because I'm trying to save all of my cardstock and DSP for classes.

I've been meaning to create a flip album for my friend and the time came when I had to do it in 2 days because she came over for a visit.

Here's the album. I did use SU! ink and stamp pad. I freehanded the words Life, Love and Laughter.

Baby Girl

I needed to make a card for friends of ours who will be having a girl in December and this is what I came up with. Unfortunately it's not all SU! products but the edging and sentiment are. I love that ribbon. I need to find more excuses to use it.

Another Thank You card

Connor's last day at his previous daycare was on July 3rd and I wanted to make a card and bring over some treats for them because they have been absolutely amazing with Connor. I can tell how much they really adore him. Let's face it, my son is a flirt.

5-10-25 --- Christmas in August

Create 5 cards in 10 minutes (but you actually make 5 cards each using 5 patterns so that's a total of 25 cards) for $25 dollars worth of Stampin' Up! products.

Scallop Bag

I made this favour bag quite awhile ago but I just didn't know how I would close it....and a thought came to me last night so here is the final product.

I made a mistake gluing but it worked to my favour. I used the backside of the DSP for the sides of the bag with scallops.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm finally done with the Thank You cards for my friend. This past week has been crazy with trying to organize all of the products from the new Catalogue and my "real" job...but I conquered!!!

I cased this card from my upline Ange. I just love this stamp set, I had to get it for myself.

Next project...playing with my new toys to make a card for the Make 'N Take during my Open House. Yup, you heard it. I will be having an Open House next month to show off the new catty and some of the products. Stay tuned.

I've been dying to use the new stamp set from the 2009/2010 Idea Catalogue so I figured I can use the Circle Circus stamp set for my friend's Thank You card. This is what I came up with. Can you tell I love Versamark? I LOVE, LOVE Versamarking. It's the most easiest but effective and subtle technique.
