Stampin' Royalty Challenge #8

The Stampin' Royalty Challenge for this week is to use the following colours.

What I like about our challenges is that they really take you out of your comfort zone. Although, I do have to say that some of the colours are from my fave set of colours (Bold Brights), I wouldn't think of pairing some of them. As well, it makes me use the stamp sets that I haven't used at all or haven't touched recently.

For my layout, I was inspired by the Mojo Monday challenge from February 1st, 2010.

The Key Ingredients:
Stamp Sets: Short and Sweet, Of the Earth, Asian Artistry
Card Stock: Green Galore, Summer Sun, Pixie Pink, Only Orange
Ink: Only Orange, Versamark
Punches: 1 3/8" Circle, Scallop Circle
Tools: Big Shot, Texturz Background #1
Adhesive: SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals
Accessories: Buttons Latte

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #7

This week's Stampin' Royalty Challenge is Masculine Cards. I don't know about you but I find making masculine cards the hardest thing to do. How do I make cards without any flowers in it? I really wish I had my gals with me this past Friday. I was supposed to have the last, last Scrappin' and Gabbin' night but I fell sick that night and had to cancel it. This is what I came up with without my inspirations.

The Key Ingredients:
Stamp Sets: Whimsical Words
Card Stock: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip
DSP: Designer Series Paper - Chocolate Chip, Sweet Pea
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Punches: Wide Oval
Adhesive: SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals
Accessories: Silver Brads

Valentine's card for Hubby

I needed to make a Valentine's card for my hubby so I used the layout that I had created for our Stampin' Royalty Challenge #6 and tweaked it a bit.

Instead of using the I Heart Hearts stamp set for the front I used a paper that was scribbled on by my 1 1/2 year old son.

Enjoy!!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #6

This week's challenge in Stampin' Royalty is Love/Valentine's Theme but for us Goddesses we had to incorporate the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. This is the stamp set that Stampin' Up is donating $2 from the proceeds of each stamp set sold to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund.

I had a Scrappin' and Gabbin' night last Friday and I thought this was a perfect time to create my card. I get so inspired when other crafters are around me. Let me correct that. I just really get wrapped up in the adult conversation especially now that I've started my maternity leave but still waiting for Smitty Baby ver 2.0 to pop.

But seriously, I did get inspired that night and this is the card that I came up with.

The Key Ingredients:
Stamp Sets: I {Heart} Hearts, Well Scripted, Season of Joy
Card Stock: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Rose Red, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink
Punches: Full Heart, Heart to Heart
Adhesive: SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals
Accessories: Heart Treat Cups
