This week at Stampin' Royalty the Goddess's are challenging you to a sketch challenge. I know I've said it before but I have to say it again...I LOVE sketch challenges. It makes life a whole lot easier for me. With the 2 kids I barely have time to craft anymore.
This challenge came in handy as I had to create a birthday card for a friend of mine. She's not much of a pastel or bright person. She is definitely NOT into pink. I really had to channel into the "nature" colours and this is what I came up with. Since last week's challenge of patterned paper I thought I would think out of the box a little bit and that's how I came up with these squares. I thought to myself, "self, why do you have to use one piece of patterned paper, why not use several?" So, I thought I would be daring this week.

On the inside I purposely didn't colour in the stamp again. After stamping the flower for the front of the card I stamped it on the inside of the card so it has the faded look. I didn't want the flower to be too overpowering (on the inside).
