Stampin' Royalty Challenge #21

The challenge this week over at Stampin' Royalty is a colour challenge...with Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink.

My inspiration came from Ilina Crouse. She's an absolutely amazing Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I tweeked it a bit by using a band around the whole box and embossing the actual box.

I've been meaning to make a favour box for Caitlin's baptism in August and was just not inspired until this colour challenge came along. I thought it was a nice colour combination and tried it out. It's small enough to fit either a few small cookies or a cupcake. I'll need to figure that out when the time comes which reminds me I still have to confirm with the priest and create the invitations. Can someone say AY KARUMBA?!?!?!

Make sure to check out Sandra Farrell's (one of our fabulous design team members) Stampin' Royalty project for this week.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #20

The challenge this week over at Stampin' Royalty is a sketch challenge.

Make sure to check out Sandra Farrell's (one of our fabulous design team members) Stampin' Royalty project for this week.

I personally love sketch challenges. It takes the thought out of how to plan the card and leave me with a lot of time for figuring out what DSP, card stock and what colour of ink to use.

This card emphasizes the fact that you really don't need a lot of stock on hand. With the Stampin' Up! products you can practically mix and match everything. I only used 2 different DSP from one set, 2 cardstock, 2 punches, 1 stamp set and 1 ink. How's that for versatility?

Connor's Last Day

It was Connor's last day at his daycare yesterday and I wanted to create a card for 2 of the mothers. Connor has gotten close to 2 of his classmates and I wanted to keep in touch with them (the parents) so that we could have play dates and I get to have some female adult conversation. I got my inspiration for the stamping from Mary Fish...ofcourse. She's an absolutely amazing Stampin' Up demonstrator.

Card Stock: Perfect Plum, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
DSP: Kaleidoscope
