Stampin' Royalty Challenge #40

The challenge this week over at Stampin' Royalty is a colour challenge and let me tell you...it was a huge challenge for me and this is what I came up with. I like these colour challenges because it makes me use colours that I haven't used in awhile or even together.

Ever since we left Toronto I've been meaning to create Thank You cards for Connor's teachers at the day care in Brampton (Ontario) but I just haven't found the time. I think I'll have to make 3 more of these for his teachers and send them off with their little gifts.

The three flowers were stamped using Chocolate Chip ink pad but I just didn't re-ink the stamp. I just stamped it three times to create the faded look.

Make sure to check out Sandra Farrell's (one of our fabulous design team members) Stampin' Royalty project for this week.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #38

The challenge this week over at Stampin' Royalty is "Anything But A Card". It's been awhile since I've contributed to the blog and my fellow team members have been very patient with me as I had spent the whole summer in Toronto with my family. We figured since I was on maternity leave we might as well stay in Ontario as long as I could manage it. I even brought my scrapbooking luggage with me but it was so chaotic that I didn't even have time to make anything other than the give away's for Caitlin's baptism.

Here's proof that I brought my scrapbooking luggage with me. I wonder what those guys were thinking when they saw it ;-)

Make sure to check out Sandra Farrell's (one of our fabulous design team members) Stampin' Royalty project for this week.

I created a holder for my post-it-note pad. I'm always trying to find new ways of keeping/holding/covering a post-it-note pad and this is what I came up with. This Bigz Top Note is so versatile. I find that I'm always using it for one of my projects.

I also covered the back side of it before running it through the Big Shot. It just gives it that clean look.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #24

The challenge this week over at Stampin' Royalty is a masculine project. I don't know about you but I always have a hard time creating a masculine card but thank goodness this challenge came along so that I can make a card for my dad and father-in-law.

Make sure to check out Sandra Farrell's (one of our fabulous design team members) Stampin' Royalty project for this week.

I used one of the sketches from the Mojo Monday's challenges as a base.

I'm actually using a card stock that will be available in the new 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! catalog. As a demonstrator we receive the 2010-2011 catalog along with our pre-order this month so I figured -- let's play with my new products. I love receiving new products from Stampin' Up. It always feel like a birthday day.

The new card stocks that I had used for this project are Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. I'm usually not into neutrals but I just had to use Early Espresso because I'm loving the rich dark brown colour.

The Designer Series Paper is Sweet Pea but unfortunately, this DSP is now retired, but is still available to purchase if you have My Digital Studio.

Since I didn't use any stamp sets other than the Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment I put the 4 colours on the inside of the card instead of a stamp.

This is my Jazzed Up project. Now I can put a mini cupcake in the box.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #21

The challenge this week over at Stampin' Royalty is a colour challenge...with Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink.

My inspiration came from Ilina Crouse. She's an absolutely amazing Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I tweeked it a bit by using a band around the whole box and embossing the actual box.

I've been meaning to make a favour box for Caitlin's baptism in August and was just not inspired until this colour challenge came along. I thought it was a nice colour combination and tried it out. It's small enough to fit either a few small cookies or a cupcake. I'll need to figure that out when the time comes which reminds me I still have to confirm with the priest and create the invitations. Can someone say AY KARUMBA?!?!?!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #20

The challenge this week over at Stampin' Royalty is a sketch challenge.

Make sure to check out Sandra Farrell's (one of our fabulous design team members) Stampin' Royalty project for this week.

I personally love sketch challenges. It takes the thought out of how to plan the card and leave me with a lot of time for figuring out what DSP, card stock and what colour of ink to use.

This card emphasizes the fact that you really don't need a lot of stock on hand. With the Stampin' Up! products you can practically mix and match everything. I only used 2 different DSP from one set, 2 cardstock, 2 punches, 1 stamp set and 1 ink. How's that for versatility?

#100730 Whisper White
