Stampin' Royalty Challenge #17

The Stampin' Royalty challenge for this week is using "Using Your Punches" for any project either it be a card, scrapbooking page or anything else your heart desires.

Once I saw this punch art of a monkey I knew I had to recreate it. I'm not sure who is the originator of this monkey and when I took a picture of this monkey, I didn't get to read the back of the card to jot down the creator. If you happen to know who the originator is, please contact me so I can credit them.

I also had to try this "Side Stair Step" card that everyone seems to be creating. It was a lot of fun to make.

The Key Ingredients:
Stamp Sets: Look Who's Turning
Card Stock: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip
DSP: DSP Chocolate Chip
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Markers: Chocolate Chip, Ballet Blue, Real Red, Only Orange
Punches: Horizontal Slot, Large Oval, Wide Oval, 1/2" Circle, 1-3/8" Circle, 1-1/4" Circle,
Adhesive: SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals
Accessories: Sponge Dauber

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #16

I'm back in business for awhile...as long as my kids give me time to play.

The Stampin' Royalty challenge for this week is a sketch challenge created by our own Sandra Farrell.

Once I saw this, I knew I had to use it to create a card for Connor's teacher whose last day was last week Friday. Ms. Koba was Connor's favourite teacher. Whenever I arrived to pick him up guaranteed he is always near Ms. Koba or sitting on her lap.

As well, I just had to play with the Awash with Flowers stamp set that will be available in the
2010/2011 catalogue in July. I just had to have to this stamp set. I'm loving it!!! I'm sure this won't be the last time I will be using it.

The Itty Bitty Bits stamp set will be available in the Summer Mini catalogue. A sure 'must-have' as well.

The Key Ingredients:
Stamp Sets: Whimsical Words, Awash with Flowers, Itty Bitty Bits
Card Stock: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay
DSP: Razzleberry Lemonade
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Pale Plum, Mellow Moss
Punches: Punch Pack Itty Bitty Bits
Adhesive: SNAIL Adhesive
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-Jig

Hiatus

Just wanted to let my followers know that I will be on a hiatus for a little while until I get back into a regular schedule. The reason for my hiatus is because I just had my second baby on February 24th. Connor is now a big brother to Caitlin Anne Zamora Smith. She is quite the handful in addition to my overactive son. I love them both but they are keeping me away from my scrapbooking room. Hopefully, in a month or two I will get into a rhythm with the 2 kids and I can step into my craft room again...if they will let me.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #8

The Stampin' Royalty Challenge for this week is to use the following colours.

What I like about our challenges is that they really take you out of your comfort zone. Although, I do have to say that some of the colours are from my fave set of colours (Bold Brights), I wouldn't think of pairing some of them. As well, it makes me use the stamp sets that I haven't used at all or haven't touched recently.

For my layout, I was inspired by the Mojo Monday challenge from February 1st, 2010.

The Key Ingredients:
Stamp Sets: Short and Sweet, Of the Earth, Asian Artistry
Card Stock: Green Galore, Summer Sun, Pixie Pink, Only Orange
Ink: Only Orange, Versamark
Punches: 1 3/8" Circle, Scallop Circle
Tools: Big Shot, Texturz Background #1
Adhesive: SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals
Accessories: Buttons Latte

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #7

This week's Stampin' Royalty Challenge is Masculine Cards. I don't know about you but I find making masculine cards the hardest thing to do. How do I make cards without any flowers in it? I really wish I had my gals with me this past Friday. I was supposed to have the last, last Scrappin' and Gabbin' night but I fell sick that night and had to cancel it. This is what I came up with without my inspirations.

The Key Ingredients:
Stamp Sets: Whimsical Words
Card Stock: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip
DSP: Designer Series Paper - Chocolate Chip, Sweet Pea
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Punches: Wide Oval
Adhesive: SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals
Accessories: Silver Brads

Valentine's card for Hubby

I needed to make a Valentine's card for my hubby so I used the layout that I had created for our Stampin' Royalty Challenge #6 and tweaked it a bit.

Instead of using the I Heart Hearts stamp set for the front I used a paper that was scribbled on by my 1 1/2 year old son.

Enjoy!!
